We play music from all over the world, including African, Balkan, klezmer, Latin American, ska, jazz, and more.
The Tenth Avenue Band is 20 years old in 2012. Since 1992 we’ve been bringing music, colour, and fun to the streets of Newcastle, Gateshead, and the north-east of England - and much further afield!
Our line-up includes saxophones, flutes, trombones, clarinet, trumpet, percussion and guitar.
We’ve played throughout Britain, as well as in France, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Spain and the Czech Republic.
We play outdoors or in, including lots of charity and community events. We love
doing festivals, and also do concerts, parties, parades, weddings, carnivals …
